Markus Lerner is currently working as an Interaction Designer and Software Developer with a focus on generative art. Markus typically conceptualizes, designs, and implements his projects in a collaborative setting. He has used video, projection, touch tables, various senors (light, motion, sound, touch), generative softwares and robotic materials to create his most famous works. He has a general interest in «time, perception and mental imagination.» He has developed interactive installations, screen based applications of physical computations, and interactive physical objects that can respond to the physical world through the implementation of artificial intelegence software and hardware. 

Markus has been a computational desiger at www.artcom.de. He earned his BA in Graphic & Meida Design from the London College of Communication, and has studied at the Berlin University of the Arts, as well as Universitat der Kunste Berlin. A portfolio of his work is available at www.markuslerner.com. He has recieved an IF Award, the Red Dot, and an Honorary Mention at the Prix Ars Electronica for his interactive robot, Outerspace.
